Facilities

Homebush is an attractive school. Currently our facilities include:

  • An historic wooden building (over 100 years old), which houses the office, library, meeting area, and storerooms.
  • A carpeted double teaching, open area modular building which makes a spacious and attractive teaching area for the Early Education classes.
  • A newly painted and carpeted double teaching space is used as a teaching area for our upper year levels. One half of this teaching space is used as a computer lab and also houses the band equipment for our rock band.
  • A brand new middle primary classroom which was constructed and ready for use early in 2011.
  • A four bay colourbond oval shed complete with electricity connection was a welcome addition to our facilities during 2010. The oval shed houses our prep and physical education equipment. Hosting of sporting carnivals has also been simplified with this fabulous facility.
  • Playground facilities include a large covered area
with adjoining sports’ storeroom, play shed, tennis court, a cricket pitch on a large oval and two extensive adventure playground and sandpit areas with large shade covers. We are fortunate to have many beautiful spreading shade trees. These have been complimented by attractive native gardens.

We are lucky to have such extensive grounds and well-equipped buildings. The Education Department, our Parents and Citizens’ committee and access of grants have contributed to the high standard of facilities and resources.
